Pink Flamingo Is Green!

Last weekend my sister, Lynn, came for a visit and took me out for my birthday. We usually do dinner and a show. This was no exception. We went to High Springs to see their community theater production of Gilligan’s Island. High Springs is little town in the northern part of Alachua County. It caters to the tourist trade. Besides cute little shops, there are several good restaurants available. She asked me to choose and I picked the Pink Flamingo Diner which is located at 19728 US 441. Click here to visit their website.

Never having eaten there, I didn’t know about the quality of the food. I picked the restaurant because it has SOLAR PANELS. There’s a paragraph on the website to say that they are Dedicated to the Environment. I’m a big believer in using my purchasing power to support “green” businesses and/or buy green products. Everyone in business is always about pleasing the customer. Just let these people know that their “green” decisions make you excited about purchasing their product or using their service.

I parked my Tesla under the solar panels. Cool!

As one young entrepreneur told me, “Everybody wants to be green.”

If you are in the area, try the Pink Flamingo for a variety of good reasons. Their take-out containers are made out of recyclable material. After my leftovers were eaten, I put the container in my compost. Yay!

God is Green!
