Earth Keepers

Today I finished my Earth Keepers course through the UMC Board of Global Ministries. I met so many strong Christians from all over the country who also wish to call their congregations to action in order to save our fragile environment.

Thanks to Rev. Jenny Phillips for leading us through the process.

One of my classmates plans to have electric charging stations on her church campus, someone else plans to start a community garden, another wants to highlight a wooded area on their campus and use it to inspire their community to be more green. The list goes on and on.

Guess what my project is about?

Here’s half of my compost area. On that day I had scored a lot of bags of coffee grounds from Starbucks. This was before the pandemic. You can’t even enter Starbucks in my area. It’s all drive-thru so all there coffee grounds goes in the garbage then the landfill. Breaks my heart.
