The Plarn Pile Grows

I’m finally getting the knack of crocheting plarn. Have decided on making tote bags and hand bags instead of mats. Grey is my dominant color because Winn-Dixie is the main supermarket in Williston. You take what you can get.

The plan is to get an account on ETSY and see how it goes. I’m having problems putting handles on the bigger bags. Still haven’t worked out a good system for that. I’ve given away quite a few of them during the Christmas holidays plus donated a couple to charity auctions.

The plastic keeps pouring in, folks, and I keep turning it into plarn.

If anyone out there is interested in helping me in my project, just PM me on Facebook. I have two pages: Sara Nussel and Adventures of Eco-Gal.

One of my favorite bags.

One of my favorite bags.

Someone suggested making small bags and donating them to Grace Market Place in Gainesville. They can fill the bags with toilet items for homeless people (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.). We’ll see.

I bought a lot of things made out of recycled plastic and planned to give them away as Christmas gifts but most of them came after Christmas. (Sigh)

That’s for another blog.
