We Have a Tesla, Finally!
About a month ago we bought a Tesla Model Three. Yippee!!
The above picture was taken on my maiden voyage. I just picked it up in Jacksonville and was driving it home when I stopped to show my brother-in-law. He was suitably impressed and snapped the picture.
There are so many bells and whistles on this car (you wouldn’t believe) but the main thing is that it doesn’t burn gas! Lots of folks ask me where I’m going to charge it. “In my garage,” I reply.
Tesla has constructed supercharging stations all over the country and they are necessary for long trips. At a Tesla Supercharging station you can plug in and get three hundred miles of charge in thirty minutes. That’s unbelievable, folks. My old Chevy Volt took four hours to get sixty miles of charge. When Tesla says fast they mean fast.
Sarates can do so many cool tricks! My husband keeps telling me it’s a car not a toy but well . . .
Last weekend we were at a wedding and I wanted to move the car so I summoned it. Yep, you read that right. I looked down the long drive, pressed a button on my phone and the car came to me much like a well trained pet. I haven’t got the trick down so I can’t use it in a busy parking lot but am hopeful.
My husband drives the Chevy Bolt now and I drive the Tesla. We’re totally off gas except for the lawn mower. I don’t know if any company is making an electric riding lawn mower. I’ll have to look into that.
