Whitewash by Carey Gillam tells the true story of Monsanto’s pursuit of profits and corruption of science. It’s not about feeding the world, folks. It’s about selling harmful chemicals. A must-read for anyone who cares about the safety of their food supply and about lessening environmental degradation. Who wants to have any traces of Round-Up in their diet? Really!
Another great environmental read is The Third Plate by Dan Barber. Dan is a chef who wants food coming out of his kitchen to be the product of sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry.
